so SO great to see awesome things taking place at apc. pray for the church and all you guys lots! keep going strong and i can't wait to check out amplify once i get back in a couple weeks! Jaimes
I just got a slamming idea! I think Amplify should be twice a week. Once a week just isn't enough!
It should be like Amplify: every Monday and Thursday at 7:00p.
That way, some people who can't make it on Monday, have a chance to make it on Thursday. But not just that, I just think that it would be a great way to keep focused on God, since some people may find it hard to do devotions and stuff.
I don't think it'd be possible to do more than one Amplify a week. I do hate it when people can't make it out due to scheduling and stuff, but that's going to happen no matter what day it's on.
When it comes to keeping focused on God, I think small groups (like CnC, or the group Kyle is starting up) can play a big role in that. We can't rely on a "service" to take the place of our own spending time with God. Meeting together for worship and community will hopefully never total the sum of the time we spend with God, if it does - we're in trouble!
